"Stage Tango” classification round @ San Telmo

The Tango World Championship goes on with “Stage Tango” classification round this Thursday at 11 am at La Trastienda (Balcarce 460, San Telmo). An expert panel of judges will choose those couples that next Friday will be competing on the semi-finals: “Salon Tango” at 11 am and “Stage Tango” at 7 pm, at Tango Porteño (Cerrito 570, opposite the Obelisco).

This Tango World Championship edition has reached a record of participants. 427 couples from 25 countries have come to compete. Besides those who have won the preliminary rounds, other couples who won the semi-finals at other international tournaments held in Australia, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, and Venezuela as well as in Argentina, will be competing at this instance. Also taking part in this competition will be the winners (from the second to the fourth position) of the 7th Buenos Aires City Tango Competition which took place in May this year.
