The house where Carlos Gardel lived and his mother, located in the traditional neighborhood of Supply, has been recovered by the Directorate General of Museums for the purpose of turning it into a museum to rescue, preserve, exhibit and disseminate the cultural heritage citizen represents the work of Gardel.
Carlos Gardel was a singer, songwriter and actor naturalized Argentine , considered the most important tango in the first half of the twentieth century . According to researchers born in Toulouse , France , on December 11th of 1890 , and, according to others, was born in Tacuarembo , Uruguay , on December 11th of 1887 , living since his childhood in Buenos Aires . He died on June 24th of 1935 in Medellin , Colombia , in a plane crash . In 2003 , proposed by the government of Uruguay , Gardel's voice has been recorded by the Unesco in the program Memory of the World , dedicated to the preservation of heritage documents.
