Museums in Buenos Aires Celebrate Christmas



December 19 to January 8

The Directorate General of Museums presents the programming Museum in Buenos Aires offer on the occasion of the upcoming holiday season, nativity exhibitions and religious iconography and a play for children telling the story of Santa Claus.


EXHIBITIONS:


Cribs XV Sculpture Contest - 2011
Sculpture Museum invited artists Luis Perlotti over 17 sculptors to participate in this event, the museum organized every year at its headquarters in Pujol 644, to keep alive the tradition of the Nativity and Christmas. Photo: Viviana Macías 1 st prize.

Nativity of Mary Isabel Fotheringham
Spanish American Art Museum Isaac Fernández Blanco, Suipacha 1422.
Fotheringham's work, modern in the technical and aesthetic resolution, was always marked by the historical tradition of their family, for their religious faith and, particularly, by a deep knowledge of Argentine rural area as reflected in this birth, rescuing ethnic types and popular customs, for the years of their production, they were disappearing.
